Edgewood University created a beautiful space for their LGBTQA+ students in their Queer Student Center and asked me to come paint a mural for them. After having a brainstorm session with some of the students, I designed this mural around the colors of different Pride flags. The pink and blue changing cosmos represent the Trans flag. The purple, yellow, and white pansies are for the Nonbinary flag. Lastly the deep fuchsia anemones are for the Asexual flag. The green carnations fill the corner as a longtime recognized symbol for the gay community, all tied together with a stripe of the Pride Flag.
